Vegetable Container Gardening Seeds

Growing vegetables in containers is an easy way to add growing space to your life! It's important to consider container size, proper light and use good potting soil to ensure your vegetables and fruits do well in pots or containers. Larger containers are going to nearly always be better for growing food – think whiskey-barrels or water troughs. You can also use smaller containers, but try to grow in at least a 5-gallon bucket size. The shape can vary, but having a height of 10-12” deep is best for most veggies. If you grow larger plants like tomatoes or large pepper varieties, providing support can be very helpful to keeping them growing healthy – and this is when a bigger pot helps big time as it can provide enough room and depth for strong trellises or obelisks or other heavy duty garden supports.
