Extremely productive - no spiciness

I absolutely love how the plant grows. It’s a strong plant that has stood up to New Mexico high winds and sudden monsoon storms. It’s leaves are enormous compared to any other variety I’ve grown which is good for protecting the chiles from sun scald. They were incredibly prolific for me. However, there was no heat/spiciness or it’s so low that it’s undetectable. I had so many chiles that I gave away a huge bag to a neighbor. They reported back to me that they couldn’t detect any heat either and used them as you would a bell pepper, which is what I’m doing as well. For comparison, I would say that even the mild jalapeños you can get from the grocery store have a much more appreciable amount of heat compared to NM Heritage 6-4.

Excellent flavor

Grew here in NW Washington. Started in home then they had a late planting outside as I took a bad fall breaking my hip. Even though they finally took off in a wine barrel giving me enough to roast, chop and freeze for winter meals

Favorite Pepper of the Season

I absolutely loved growing and eating this pepper from seed to plate. Germinated well. Grew well in a container in Zone 6a. Prolific producer. Roasted well in an air fryer and tasted 10/10.
