Cubanelles are loved by chefs and are sweet and crispy with thin skins - great for stir fries or salads.

The Trick or treat Habanero has fruity flavor with no heat,

Marconis are nice big fat elongated red peppers. They are absolutely delicious when blistered by roasting on the grill. roast them for a sweet side, grill them, fry them, or make pepper sauces. Their large size and nice, sweet flavor make them great for cooking.

Pimento is short and fat and full of flavor! They have succulent texture and aromatic sweetness, and are great for making pimento cheese, or stuffing and grilling.

Interesting Sweet Pepper Varieties with Zero Heat - Shishitos

The infamous Shishito is a classic Japanese pepper, cool looking wrinkled pods.
Very productive and early to harvest! Be aware, every so often one of these peppers packs a little heat, but they are mostly all sweet. Sauté Shishito peppers with sesame or olive oil for a special treat.

Sweet Cherry Peppers are a cute classic heirloom sweet pepper!
Great for pickling and/or stuffing. They have sweet, thick flesh, and delightful tangy flavor. The plants are very productive.


Stocky Red Roaster is a classic red italian pepper with long glossy red fruits and great sweet flavor. Great for roasting and marinating. Roast, peel and use these special sweet peppers in pasta sauces, sausage & peppers, stuffing, blending into dips/soups (hummus, shakshuka), adding to salads/sandwiches, top pizzas, or freezing for later use in omelets, casseroles, or stir-fries.

And... if you can tolerate a little heat... try:

Padron is another cool shaped little green chile from Spain, but it can also have a little mild heat up to 500 Scovilles. These are mild and sweet but once in awhile one in 10 peppers or so will be a bit spicy! Padron peppers are best enjoyed simply: blistered in olive oil and seasoned with sea salt as a tapas snack, eat the whole thing using the stem as handle!


Corno di Toro is a brilliant yellow bull-horn shaped sweet pepper but it can have a little bit of heat. These are loved in Italy! Use them fresh in salads, chop for salsas, or blend into sauces. These bull horn peppers are delicious when grilled, roasted, or sautéed and served as an antipasto with garlic, anchovies, capers or olives. They are also delicious on sandwiches and of course, pizza! These are large peppers, so they are also great for stuffing!
