We are so excited for our new 2026 Seed Catalog, packed with peppers, tomatoes, veggies and lots of recipes, growing tips and pepper growing info. Here's a sneak peak at what we have coming in our newest Seed Catalog!
It’s amazing that such a wide range of pepper seeds are available now!
Eighteen years ago, we were the first seed packet company to focus exclusively on pepper seeds from around the world. At that time large seed packet companies sold only one or two peppers alongside their vegetable seed selection and they were not green chile seeds! We decided something had to change, so Sandia Seed started offering several different green chile seeds in packets.
Now, interest in growing new and exotic pepper varieties with a variety of flavors, heat levels, and appearances increases each year and so has our selection. Here is what’s new for 2026.
We are happy to have Sandia Select as a Hatch Green Hot seed choice. The Sandia Select NuMex chiles are recognized for their superior flavor, thick green flesh, and reliable hot heat profile. They will offer an excellent opportunity for home gardeners to produce high-quality green chile harvests. The chile skin removes easily after roasting and they are rated the best in aroma and flavor.
There are eight new pepper varieties in this catalog. One of these is the F1 Gypsy Sweet Pepper, notable for its combination of sweetness, versatility, and abundant yields. Next, the Jalapeño Nadapeño provides a tangy taste without heat and expands our collection of jalapeno seeds. The Chilhuacle Negro is a mild Mexican pepper with bold, complex flavor, while the Vallero is a chocolate-toned chile with mild heat and a touch of sweetness. The Peruvian Aji Colorado is a very hot Capsicum baccatum variety with a unique sweet, fruity profile, and the Yellow Caribbean Habanero features extra heat and a bright, citrus-like flavor.
Three more super-hot pepper varieties are available this year. The rare Bhut Jolokia Yellow (800,000 SHU) is back and brings its vibrant flavor. The Tasmanian Orange Ghost (1.1 million SHU) a new more compact orange ghost pepper delivers substantial heat and fresh flavor. The heirloom Naga Morich (1.3 million SHU), one of the earliest super-hot peppers introduced to the U.S. from India is also in our selection.
In addition to peppers, take a look at our latest tomato, tomatillo, and herb offerings for 2026. The Sunrise Bumble Bee Tomato is an exceptional cherry tomato with sweet tropical flavors, while Principe Borghese is regarded as an outstanding plum tomato suitable for sun-drying. The Striped German Tomato produces large, bicolor tomatoes with yellow-and-red marbled stripes and a sweet, rich, fruity flavor. Purple Tomatillo seeds yield vibrant, sweet-tart fruits ideal for oven-roasted salsa. Our newest herb Common Garden Sage is a popular choice as a distinct aromatic seasoning.
Our ongoing mission is to deliver high-quality seed to customers, with an emphasis on healthy germination, vigorous plant growth, and excellent chile harvests.

Thank you for your loyalty and enthusiasm. We love hearing about your gardening successes. Our small team sends seeds out daily and we often wonder what happens next. It’s exciting to hear about your harvests growing in all parts of the country. So, please continue to tell us about your experiences, it really makes our day.

If you’re new to gardening, now’s a great time to start. Watching something grow from a tiny seed is incredibly rewarding. When you’re in the garden it allows you to feel the soil, enjoy the sunshine, and experience the rhythms of the seasons firsthand. The best part is enjoying the fresh food you’ve grown yourself. It is truly satisfying and brings a powerful sense of accomplishment.
We look forward to this season with great optimism because that’s what gardeners do!
Thank you for choosing us, we are grateful for your support.
