Yellow Brain Strain / Yellow 7 Pot - This pepper is extremely hot and rivals some of the hottest peppers in the world. It looks like a brain because of its lumpy appearance, but brain strain is actually what happens when you eat it!

A unique pepper with pods 2-1/2” long and 2-1/2” wide with crinkled yellow skin. It has a pineapple-like fruity taste and a whole lot of heat. Plants grow to 3’ tall and produce fruit all season. Capsicum chinense (110 days)

Warning: Handling this pepper requires extreme caution. Wear hand, eye and breathing protection. These peppers are great to add to salsa recipes or to make hot sauce - just add the amount desired to get the spicy kick you like.

Heat Level: Reckless.  Scoville Heat Units 1,600,000

~ Packet contains 10 seeds.

In early spring, start seeds indoors 8 weeks prior to warm nightly temperatures. Place the seeds in sterile media and cover 1/4” deep. Provide 85°F bottom heat, bright light and keep moist at all times. Seeds will germinate in 7 - 21 days. Transplant seedlings into pots and grow until there are 6 true leaves on the plant. Plant them directly into rich soil, 36” apart or into large 5 gallon containers. Harvest when full size.

All of our seeds are GMO-free.

92% Germination rate.

Purchased 10 seeds, received 12, 11 germinated.

These are some fine growing peppers. Nearly all of them sprouted within eight days of planting and are growing at a steady pace. All are developing solid leaves and should be ready for transplanting out of the seed tray in the next couple of days (today is 25 days after planting). I can't say the same about some of my other peppers...Yes, I am looking at you, Dragon's Breath...slow poke.

Avg days to sprout: 8.0
First sprout day: 6
Last sprout day: 11

Growing media: Miracle Gro seed starting mix.
Growing temp: 81-84 (thermometer in dirt).
Fertilizer: Miracle Gro at seedling strength, after first true leaves emerged.

Favorite Hot Pepper

Really fruity flavor and plenty of heat. We found it’s great to put a little bit on fish filets with lemon and dill.

Absolutely outstanding 🔥

Absolutely outstanding🔥😋 I’m so happy to discover these Yellow Brain Strain hot pepper seeds. I had almost every seed sprout, so I had lots of extra plants since I started ordering your seeds. Great harvest, the peppers are brilliant yellow and easy to spot when ripe. I made lots of hot sauce out of them. I will be ordering from you for many years to come!
