Jalapeño Purple Pepper Seeds - A Unique Twist on a Classic Favorite

Spice up your garden and your meals with these Jalapeño Purple Pepper Seeds, offering a delightful blend of medium heat and unexpected sweetness. Unlike traditional jalapeños, these peppers boast thick, crisp walls perfect for adding a satisfying crunch to salads, sandwiches, and salsas.

Why Choose Jalapeño Purple Pepper Seeds?

These heirloom, open-pollinated peppers are a feast for the eyes and the palate. The 3” long peppers transition from deep green to striking dark purple before maturing to a vibrant red. With all three colors often present at once, the plant doubles as a stunning ornamental addition to your garden.

Key features:

  • Medium heat level (5,000 Scoville) with a bright, sweet flavor
  • Thick-walled peppers ideal for fresh eating
  • Showy lavender flowers on sturdy 24” plants
  • Beautiful color progression from green to purple to red
  • GMO-free seeds, 10 per packet

Growing Your Jalapeño Purple Peppers

For best results, start seeds indoors 8 weeks before warm weather arrives. Plant in sterile media 1/4” deep, maintain 85°F bottom heat, and keep moist. Seeds typically germinate in 7-14 days. Transplant when seedlings have 6 true leaves, spacing plants 30” apart in rich soil or in 5-gallon containers.

Harvest the peppers at their beautiful purple stage, or leave them longer to develop full red maturity. Either way, you’ll enjoy a uniquely flavorful jalapeño that’s as beautiful as it is delicious.

Ready to grow something extraordinary? Add these Jalapeño Purple Pepper Seeds to your garden today and enjoy a harvest that’s equal parts tasty and breathtaking!

Cute pepper plant

Grew the purple jalapenos last summer. Slow to get going, but ended up with a nice compact bush in a pot. I am trying to overwinter them by bringing the.pot inside for the winter. It is still growing, small purple peppers about 1" long.

Productive and beautiful jalapenos!

These purple jalapeños have such rich color, and the plants were very productive. Great for salsas and hot sauce.

Purple jalapenos? Who knew?!

Just got your seeds last week, can't wait to sprout these, watch them grow, and harvest some purple jalapeno jewels! I've grown several of your other jalapeno varieties and they all do very well, we love jalapenos in our house!! We use them for pickles, poppers, and adding to salsa. These will likely be a new favorite, I'll let you know how they do!
