Why Choose Cascabella Pepper Seeds?

With their thick, waxy skin and vibrant color progression from creamy-yellow to orange and finally red, Cascabella peppers are as beautiful as they are tasty. These sturdy plants grow 18-24" tall, producing heavy yields of 2" long conical-shaped peppers with a medium heat level (1,500 - 3,000 Scoville units). Perfect for pickling or fresh salsas, they’re a versatile addition to any kitchen. They are delicious in our  Pickled Cascabella Peppers Recipe.

Easy to Grow & Highly Productive

Ideal for both beginners and seasoned gardeners, Cascabella Pepper Seeds are easy to cultivate. Start seeds indoors 8 weeks before warm nights, using sterile media and 85°F bottom heat for optimal germination (7-14 days). Transplant seedlings into rich soil or 5-gallon containers, spacing them 30" apart. Enjoy a bountiful harvest of yellowish-orange peppers that are bursting with flavor.

Love growing these hot peppers from seed! So easy!

These were so prolific! The plants were one of the first to harvest and kept producing beautiful yellow peppers (that would turn to orange/red as they matured). We pickled them, and they are delicious! These are on my must-grow list now going forward! Nice and spicy and great flavor!

Very Productive

These were our earliest hot peppers, they even beat the early jalapeno. I love using them for adding to pickled banana peppers to add lots of spice. They are also great in salsa. Plants were loaded with pods, love that! He will be growing these again next year for sure.

Home Made Hotness

I am a Hot Chili Pepper Junky, and wanted a way to pickle my own Mazetta Hot Chili Peppers, so I researched what Pepper they used and got to work. I have done several different pickle brines, added garlic (they were one of my favorites) and they have all been good but I keep going back to a basic pickle. I eat them all the time, and drink the juice, especially if I am cold, a shot of juve from the pickled Peppers and handful of Peppers and I am good to go

Yum! Thanks for growing our peppers!

Excited to pickle these Cascabella peppers!

I am a pickled hot pepper addict, so I'm very excited to try these. I buy the pickled mezzetta hot chili peppers and eat them all the time so I thought, why not grow my own and pickle my own? The seeds germinated well, and the plants are happily growing (just finally picking up speed in the last couple weeks, we had a cold spring and slow start). Now the plants have flowers and some peppers on them now – I'm going to wait a little longer for them to mature before picking - looking forward to the coming harvest! I only wish I had planted 30 of these plants so I can have enough pickled hot peppers for the whole year. Yes, I do eat a lot of them. haha!

Stocked to make my own Mezzettas!

I love pickled Mezzetta hot peppers, but the ingredient label lists preservatives and food colorings, so I figure it's not great to eat too many of them. So now I grow my own Cascabellas and pickle them – I just do the refrigerator version so they stay nice and crips and are DELICIOUS! I added a bit of turmeric to give the brine more yellow color. Delicious! It's also fun to pickle all the colors in a jar, starting with red at the bottom and working up to yellow at the top - a rainbow of pickled peppers. My plant was very prolific, I am going to grow more of these plants next year so I can make extra pickled peppers to give some away. Homemade Mezzettas! Thanks for the excellent seeds.
