Excellent flavor that is extremely sweet and complex. This large 12 oz. heirloom tomato has a dusky rose and purple color. A reliable early tomato and heat tolerant.

History: In 1990, an unnamed variety of seeds were sent to Craig LeHoullier by John D. Green of Sevierville, TN. A letter with the seeds described that Mr. Green got the variety from a woman who, in turn, received them from her neighbor that claimed that they had been in their family for 100 years originally receiving them from Cherokee Indians.

Classic

We grow these every year, they are so delicious and very meaty - the color inside when you cut them open is jewel-like. I like to make salsa out of these, just roast them in the oven for a bit and then throw them into a food processor with some hot peppers (I love your orange habaneros), lime juice, garlic and cilantro, then stir in some chopped green onions for the best salsa ever. Thanks for the good seeds, over the past couple years we planted them, the seeds pretty much all germinated so I've learned to only plant one seed per pod so I don't have to thin them, which is so hard for me to do.

Great purple Cherokees

I tried these purple Cherokee seeds on 2024. This is the first time growing these purple Cherokees and were amazed at the ease of germination and taste

Love these meaty tomatoes!

We grow these Black Krim tomatoes every year from your seed, they're super tasty and have meaty flesh. Great for Caprese Salad or even for making marinara sauce. The color is gorgeous when you cut into these beasts.

Fast growing

These heirloom seeds sprouted FAST, and the plants grew huge with super tasty, fat purple-black tomatoes. Will grow every year!
