Gypsy has a fantastic sweet flavor and is never bitter like a bell pepper can be. The sweet 3-lobed peppers are wedge-shaped and grow 3–5” long with medium-thick walls. Fruits can be used early at the yellow-green stage or left to ripen to orange-red. The 18“ plants are resistant to TMV and are easy to grow. This hybrid is a cross between an Italian bullhorn and a bell pepper.

The plants produce an unbelievable amount of fruit all season. This 1981 All-American Selections winner is ideal for salads, frying, and stuffing.

Capsicum annuum (60 days)

A very popular variety among home gardeners for their sweet flavor, prolific nature and disease resistance.  Heirloom - Open-pollinated - Non-GMO

Heat Level: Sweet   Scoville: 0

~ Packet contains 10 seeds.

In early spring, start seeds indoors 8weeks prior to warm nightly temperatures. Place the seeds in sterile media and cover 1/4” deep. Provide 85°F bottom heat, bright light and keep moist at all times. Seeds will germinate in 7-14 days. Transplant seedlings into pots and grow until there are 6 true leaves on the plant. Plant them directly into rich soil, 30” apart or into large 5-gallon containers. Harvest peppers when they are full size at the yellow-green stage or later at the orange-red stage.
