Hot Honey Recipe

Red Chile infused Honey Recipe

Red Chile Infused Honey Recipe

This Hot Honey Recipe is great for spicing up your biscuits!

Ingredients:

5 dried Chile de Arbol
2 dried Chipotle peppers (smoke-dried Jalapenos)
2 dried Guajillo
2 c Wildflower honey or honey of your choice
¼ tsp salt

Directions:

  1. Rough chop all your chiles to mor heat and flavor.
  2. In medium saucepan bring honey, chile, and salt up to 180 degrees.
  3. Let cook at 180 degrees for 20 minutes, make sure the heat is not to high or else your honey will boil over and make a huge sticky mess.
  4. Turn off heat and let cool for 1 hour.
  5. Strain out chiles, bottle, and enjoy.

Quick Tip: If you want more heat try using habanero and if you’re really a heat fanatic try our Bhut jolokia!

Quick Tip: If you’re looking for a more savory honey, add in 2 cloves of garlic during the cooking process for added flavor!
