If you love peppers, and love growing peppers, here are some great books about peppers!

One of our favorite books about peppers was a book called Hot Peppers: The Story of Cajuns and Capsicum by Richard Schwid that goes into the history of peppers and goes into depth about Tabasco peppers. An interesting read! The whole time while reading I was craving hot sauce.
Chasing Chiles: Hot Spots Along the Pepper Trail by Gary Paul Nabhan, Kraig Kraft, and Kurt Michael Friese is also good to read.

Peppers: A Story of Hot Pursuits by Amal Naj is also a good read, the Wall Street Journal columnist author writes about peppers from Bolivia to New Mexico, interviewing growers, botanists, chefs, and doctors, even chronicling a long and acrimonious lawsuit that has raged around the use of the term "Tabasco."

The Chile Chronicles: Tales of a New Mexico Harvest by Carmella Padilla is another great read, with it's colorful photos this book about chile is a cultural tour through the fields, homes, and markets of New Mexico, exploring the lives and livelihoods that depend on this famous food.

The Complete Chile Pepper Book: A Gardener's Guide to Choosing, Growing, Preserving, and Cooking by world-renowned chile experts Dave DeWitt and Paul W. Bosland reviews one hundred of the most popular peppers and has great info on how to grow and cultivate them successfully.

Fermented Hot Sauce Cookbook: A Step-by-Step Guide to Making Hot Sauce From Scratch by Kristen Wood is a great cookbook to add to your shelf if you want to make your own hot sauce! Fermented hot sauces are SOOO delicious!
