  3. Do peppers need a lot of water? Peppers don't need as much water as many other vegetables. While they do appreciate consistent moisture, over-watering can be very bad for peppers. Don't over-water your pepper seedlings! They do not like soggy roots. For that matter, don't over-water your peppers in general.
