Big Beef Plus F1 Tomato Seeds - Juicy, Disease-Resistant, and Award-Winning!
The name "Big Beef Plus" is an updated, upgraded version of the legendary Big Beef tomato.
The original Big Beef won the All-America Selections award in 1994 for combining old-fashioned, rich beefsteak flavor with high yields and disease resistance. Plant breeders eventually developed the "Plus" version to build directly upon that classic foundation:
The "Big Beef" Part: Refers to its large fruit size (producing massive 10 to 16 oz beefsteak tomatoes) and its dense, meaty, thick-walled texture ideal for slicing.
The "Plus" Part: Indicates specific genetic upgrades bred into the plant:
- Crimson Gene: Gives the flesh and internal gel a noticeably deeper, darker red color (which also boosts lycopene levels).
- Stronger Immunity: Features an expanded disease resistance package (including added protection against Tomato Spotted Wilt Virus and blights).
- Improved Flavor: Offers a slightly sweeter, juicier flavor profile while maintaining classic beefsteak acidity.
Why Choose Big Beef Plus F1 Tomato Seeds?
Unmatched Flavor & Reliability: Sink your teeth into sweet, meaty tomatoes with classic beefsteak texture—perfect for sandwiches, salads, or fresh-off-the-vine snacking. Unlike finicky heirlooms, Big Beef Plus F1 sets fruit reliably even in unpredictable weather.
Disease-Resistant Powerhouse: Engineered to resist common tomato blights, these indeterminate vines (6-8’ tall) stay productive all season. Just provide a sturdy cage or trellis for support!
Adaptable & Award-Winning: Tolerates rain, heat, and everything in between.
Key Features:
- Hybrid vigor for high yields and uniform fruit
- 12-16 oz round red tomatoes with dense, juicy flesh
- Indeterminate habit (produces all season)
- Non-GMO - 10 seeds per packet
Pro Tip: Plant one vine, and you’ll be hooked. Gardeners call Big Beef Plus F1 "the tomato that spoils you for all others."
