Jalapeño Mucho Nacho - A great pepper to chop into fresh salsa or other dishes needing some spice. Put thick slices on top of nachos before broiling. There is no need to first roast and peel, just use it directly from the garden. Harvest green Mucho Nacho peppers about 70 days after the seedlings are planted in the ground. Fruits will ripen to red about 15 days later.

The 4” conical fruits have thick dark green flesh. The big jalapeños grow on vigorous plants set fruit that ripen from green to red. Produces all season long. This is a reliable Jalapeño with great flavor.

Top All-Around Jalapeno!

Mucho Nacho is one of the best all-around jalapenos, if not the best! Its germination, plant quality, production, fruit flavor/quality, are solid & consistent. In my family’s garden, Mucho Nacho replaces the standard “Early Jalapeno” variety. I live in NE IL, USDA hardiness Zone 5B & AHS Heat Zone 5. Mucho Nacho is larger than standard jalapenos, stays quite crisp when left to ripen red & has thick walls for a jalapeno. That & its crisp texture make it great for salsas & poppers! Being in Midwest, weather conditions can vary greatly. Even in cool, cloudy conditions, Mucho Nacho is a top producer compared to other jalapenos. Our success with Mucho Nacho starts with quality plants from quality seeds. Sandia’s 2020 seeds resulted in the healthiest, earliest, and largest jalapeno plants. 11 out of 12 Mucho Nacho seeds germinated, all in 8 to 12 days after planting. We soak the seeds in water for 12 hours prior to planting, which has helped most of our tomato, pepper and eggplant seeds germinate earlier and at a higher total percentage. We normally plant them the first half of May in raised beds, & our first red Mucho Nachos average the third week of July (one week earlier than other jalapenos). Mucho Nacho produces until frost (normally October in NE IL). Whether you are looking to grow a plant or two in a container, or looking for a main crop variety for market, Mucho Nacho is a great choice!

Loved them!

Big fruit with delightful flavor! I let mine ripen to red, stuffed with cream cheese wrapped in bacon and stuck in the oven. Omg it was yummy. This will be a continued addition to the garden.
