Just started these seeds the 23rd of March.. looking good, all germinated. Planting 6 varieties of Tomato, and this one is the one you want if you were to only pick one!! Thank you for your timely delivery. Very pleased with my order!
After over 2 weeks on heating pad only 2 out of 10 seeds sprouted.
I'm not sure if the seeds I received were mislabeled but my tomatoes were huge! Their average size was 1.5 pounds! The stalks of the plants were thick too! These were one of my favorite tomatoes from all the varieties that I grew this year.
The boxcar Willie tomatoes are a superior tomato, easy to grow, and the flavor is on believable a good old fashion tomato. When you plan him he won’t go wrong. Everybody should try boxcar Willie’s they are the best.
I’m surprised to see no reviews on this tomato. Amazing flavor. Our family has been growing this for at least 18 years, right at the same time our garden center started growing it. Has a great following. An employee and I both taste tested this at a local farm years ago. It had won the taste test over so so many tomatoes. Yields are quite impressive too. I highly recommend it, I’m sure it can be in your garden as a yearly treat like ours!
