Best Watering Can

Best Watering Can

Who would have thought we'd fall in love with a watering can? Well, we did. A couple years ago, we went to a Garden Bloggers Fling and we won a Dramm gift in the raffle... we received one of their Dramm Watering Cans in blue, some of their Fertilizer, and some awesome purple Dramm pruners (which also became our favorite pruners!)

Now that we've tried the Dramm watering can out for a few years, we wanted to post our review – it's our favorite garden accessory! This Dramm watering can is the best watering can we have found for use in our garden, hoop house and cold frame!

It has a long spout, which we never realized how convenient this was until we started to use it! The long spout makes it easy to maneuver around plants and easily reach seedlings or plants in tight quarters and those that are hard to reach in the hoop house and cold frame. The gentle rain spout is amazing, and (unlike most watering can spouts) comes apart to easily remove any debris like leaves (since we use water from a rain barrel) that can clog the perfectly spaced holes that waters perfectly like a gentle rain.

Best Watering Can - Dramm

The base is thick but lightweight, and the watering can is perfectly balanced, allowing for effortless watering. We've had many watering cans crack and start to leak at the bottom seam over time, so we've bought many of them over the years! This one is thicker and durable (with no bottom seam) and appears it will last through the test of time and heavy use, even though it's lightweight. It is a pleasure to use, and the gentle rain-like shower it provides doesn't dislodge recently germinated seedlings and evenly distributes the water. Dramm also has a lifetime guarantee, so IF it were to break (which it doesn't seem like it will)  they will replace it, unlike most of the cans you get at your local hardware store or garden shop. The only thing we're wondering is why more local shops don't carry these excellent watering cans!

Another reason we love it is the large top opening – it's easy to get under a spigot or to use to dunk into our rain barrel for quick filling. The large opening also makes it easy to reach inside to remove any debris. Many watering cans have a small hole making it hard to fill from a spigot, or to reach inside.

Anyway, if you are an avid gardener like us, make sure to check get one of these perfect Dramm watering cans, you'll likely fall in love like we did! Ask your local garden nursery to carry them, wish that ours did here in Colorado! We've even gifted some of these to family and gardener friends, because we love them that much. By the way. this is NOT a paid advertisement, just an honest review and we wanted to share the love.

Best Watering Nozzles for Hoses - Dramm!

Dramm also has some great hose nozzles with the same gentle rain-like watering capabilities, so be sure to check them out, too. Ask your local garden shop to carry them!

Happy gardening!
