Pods are 2-1/2” long and 2-1/2” wide with wrinkled reddish-orange skin. They have a fruit-like flavor, with nuclear heat. Capsicum chinense (110 days)

*Soak seeds overnight in water before planting.

Germination Tip: Start indoors 8 weeks before transplant date, sow 1/4” deep. Keep soil moist, with bright light & bottom heat at 80-85 degrees F. Germination: 14-21 days.

ALL Capsicum chinense strains require a great deal of attention during the germination process. Moisture and a constant and consistent heat range must be maintained for all varieties. Place the seeds in sterile media and cover 1/4” deep. Provide 85°F bottom heat, and a bright grow light above them, and keep moist at all times. Seeds will germinate in 14-28 days. Transplant seedlings into pots and grow until there are 6 true leaves on the plant. Plant them directly into rich soil, 30” apart or into containers.

Great container peppers

I grew 2 of these pepper plants over the spring/summer/fall of 2022, and they are absolutely amazing growing plants. Growing in a nutrient solution using a 4" net cup with a Kratky setup (I plan to attempt a DWC grow in 2023), they got a late start but the plant was absolutely beautiful, and I got to harvest 18 beautiful deep red peppers that were loved (and feared) by most people that tried them. Great fruity taste with a intense heat that builds over time.

Sandia Seed has never done me wrong, and I will order from them year after year. I planted 4 seeds across 2 pellets, hoping to get a strong germination from at least 1 of them, and found all 4 seedlings sprouting strong after 10-11 days or so.

After buying seeds from another dealer that grew out something entirely different, the seeds I got from Sandia Seed were extremely rewarding. These Moruga Scorpions are beautiful, weird little atomic bombs that look EXACTLY like they are supposed to. Same with my Hatch’s, pepperoncinis, and everything else I bought here. Nice flavor!

I'm stoked to be growing this former hottest pepper in the world, dethroned by the Carolina Reaper. I find it just as hot and it is quite a little demon! With a killer bright red color and evil shapes, it's a super hot to fear! Great in salsa and hot sauce.

Trinidad Moruga Scorpion Review

These Trinidad Moruga Scorpion seeds were good, we had about 70% germination, which is good with these types of super hot pepper seeds. The healthy plants had a decent harvest of Scorpion peppers by the end of the season. Glad we started them early, as they were just ripening before the first cold weather spell, so we were able to harvest them beforehand. Will grow these every year, we like to use them for fermented hot sauce.

Best Trinidad Moruga Scorpion Seeds!

I planted all of these trinidad moruga scorpion seeds, using a Jiffy peat-pot "greenhouse" tray system and I got almost 100% germination. Thanks for the excellent info and advice on your How to Grow page, I didn't realize these seeds took a long time to sprout, so I'm glad I read that so I didn't worry. Some sprouted quickly, while others took their time, but I had about 7 out of the 10 seeds planted sprout, so that's great! I haven't had as much luck with other super hot pepper seeds from other seed companies, so I'm glad I discovered Sandia Seed!

Great seeds

Grew these last year. The seeds were in great condition, germination rate was around 90%, and the plants grew bushy and had a lot of pods. I don't like to eat them straight, but they're great in salsa or made into hot sauce.

Wicked Hot!

These Trinidad Moruga Scorpions are wicked hot... woo! We dehydrated them and add tiny amounts of the dried peppers to salsas or chile, it's a great flavor but a little goes a LONG way! These are beautiful peppers, too.
