Prepare for an unforgettable fiery adventure with our Hatch Green X Hot - Lumbre Chile Seeds. These seeds produce one of the hottest green chiles you'll ever taste, delivering an intense burn that triggers a rush of endorphins—nature's way of making you crave more!

Why Choose Lumbre X-Hot Chile Seeds?

These heirloom, open-pollinated chile seeds are grown near Hatch, NM, and produce green chiles that pack a serious punch with a Scoville rating of 10,000. The small 5" pods may look unassuming, but they're screaming hot, making them a must-have for heat seekers and chile enthusiasts.

Key Features:

  • X-Hot Heat Level: Perfect for those who love a serious burn.
  • Heirloom Quality: Open-pollinated for authentic flavor and heat.
  • Compact Plants: Grow up to 30" tall, ideal for gardens or containers.
  • GMO-Free: All seeds are non-GMO for natural, healthy growth.

Growing Tips:

Start seeds indoors 8 weeks before warm nights. Plant in sterile media, cover 1/4" deep, and keep at 85°F with bright light. Germination takes 7-21 days. Transplant when seedlings have 6 true leaves, spacing 30" apart or in 5-gallon containers. Harvest green or wait for red maturity.

Ready for More Heat?

If the Lumbre X-Hot isn't enough, try our Rattlesnake Green Chile (Scoville 10,000-18,000) for an even hotter experience!

Nothing but the best

Not only do these chiles have a good kick to them but they are also delicious! They are extremely pretty and grow big yields! Later in the growing season these plants have a perfect mix of red and green which POP in your garden. I definitely recommend drying these out and adding them to your favorite recipes.

very impressive

from the 30 seeds, these gems gave us over 150 lbs of smoking hot chiles.
We topped them twice and they never got over 24" tall and really put out the goods.
Thank you Sandia seeds !!!

TOO HOT FOR ME

Only got one plant to grow. It was a good producer for the size for one year. We could not use them in many dinners because of the heat. My co-workers loved them because they love really hot chili peppers.

Excellent!

I love the Hatch line of peppers and this one did not disappoint! It had everything I was looking for, heat, and flavor. The plant was vigorous and produced well also.

Great White North

Even here near the continental divide in Montana, I have been growing Sandia peppers, including the Lumbre X peppers, for several years and have always had success with germinating them indoors and growing them with good results outdoors here in Montana. These are the hottest ones I grow, because the folks in Montana don't appreciate the heat, but they always appreciate the flavor of the Sandia peppers I grow!

Pepper /Gold!

I've been growing these Lumbre peppers since 2012. These treasures are my favorites of the pepper patch. When I see them blooming. I know that I'm just weeks away from pepper gold.
Just the right heat and the flavor is rich and original. Chicken Quesadillas with Lumbres! Makes your lips tingle.

Fast growing, highly disease resistant

Started these indoors along with 4 other types of New Mexico chiles back in December and they are taller & bushier than all the others. Not only that, my greenhouse was hit with some fungal attack which affected all rest to some dgree, not the Lumbres! I presently have 20 or so immature peppers on the plant and am about 2-3 weeks from first harvest, cant wait! : )
