Carolina Reaper was the world record holder for being the HOTTEST PEPPER in the world from from 2013 to 2023, before it was surpassed by Pepper X, which was also developed by Ed Currie. Pepper X seeds are patented and are not available for sale, so grow the next hottest pepper: the Carolina Reaper! It is one of the hottest peppers you can find, and the hottest pepper you can grow. When you eat it your ears will pop, your body will tingle and everything will feel numb! Warning: Intense endorphin rush ahead! Maximum heat reported at over 2,200,000 Scoville Heat Units The Carolina Reaper is an absolutely amazing pepper.

The pods are 2-1/2" wide and 2-1/2" long with a stinger and bright red rough skin. The flavor is fruity, and sweet, with a hint of old dust and smokey undertones, but you won't taste that! Plants grow to 5' tall and 4' wide. Capsicum chinense (90 days)

*Soak seeds overnight in water before planting.

Germination Tip: Start indoors 8 weeks before transplant date, sow 1/4” deep. Keep soil moist, with bright light & bottom heat at 80-85 degrees F. Germination: 14-21 days.

Warning: Handling this pepper requires extreme caution. Wear hand, eye, and breathing protection.

Heat Level: Stupid Hot    Scoville Heat Units: 1,500,000 - 2,000,000

~ Packet contains 10 seeds.

Limited to two packs per customer

ALL Capsicum chinense strains require a great deal of attention during the germination process. Moisture and a constant and consistent heat range must be maintained for all varieties. Place the seeds in sterile media and cover 1/4” deep. Provide 85°F bottom heat, and a bright grow light above them, and keep moist at all times. Seeds will germinate in 14-28 days. Transplant seedlings into pots and grow until there are 6 true leaves on the plant. Plant them directly into rich soil, 30” apart or into containers.

All of our seeds are GMO-free.

Great Company

Second year ordering. Very fast shipping and I had more hatch and Big Jim’s than I knew what to do with. Made a lot of friends happy. Highly recommend

Best deal on these seeds!

You have the best price around, and the seeds are very viable - I had almost every one sprout last spring, so I had to share some seedlings with my community garden friends. These are great for drying and putting in small doses into salsas or stews, I love their fruity flavor, but not in large doses. Just ordered some more seeds for this year! I may not plant all the seeds this time so I don't have extras... on the other hand it's nice to give some seedlings away, too!

Reaping the rewards

The last two years i purchased these seeds. I absolutely love them, my wife not so much (she doesnt like super hot)! They grew fast and surpassed my expectations every year so far. I brought the largest one inside to ride out the cold this year. Im excited to see just how well it will do in spring and coming growing season. I always harvest a good amount of peppers off these plants. These are by far the best reaper seeds on the market!!!

Great reaper seeds

These are the best priced reaper seeds I can find, and their germination rate is exceptional. Only wish I had a longer season so I can grow more of these beasts. Just heard about Pepper X beating out the reaper for being the world's hottest pepper – but doesn't look like the seeds are available yet (or maybe ever?) So I'll keep growing these classic super hots, I love the tail on them too. Wicked. And more than plenty hot for my tastebuds, and I like HOT!!

Best Carolina Reaper seeds

9 out of the 10 seeds sprouted from my seed packet, which is unusual for these super hots. Thank you for the excellent seeds, they grew into tall robust plants with lots of pods. It's hot sauce time!
