This is the perfect choice for gardeners looking to add a bit of heat to their dishes.

Red Cherry Hot peppers, a.k.a. Calabrese or Devil's Kiss, have a nice robust flavor with medium heat. They are suitable for pickling, relish trays, stuffed, or in a salad. There are endless possibilities that include chutneys, and a variety of salsas, and can even be used along with other hot and sweet peppers for a pepper jelly that is out of this world! Overall, they are a great addition to any garden.

Bright red peppers 1-1/2” to 2” across grow on bushy 30” tall plants. They are mildly hot, grow upright, have thick walls, and turn from green to red when mature. Easy to grow. Capsicum annuum (80 days) Heirloom - Open-pollinated

Heat Level: Medium  Scoville 3,000 - 5,000

~ Packet contains 10 seeds.

In early spring, start seeds indoors 8 weeks prior to warm nightly temperatures. Place the seeds in sterile media and cover 1/4” deep. Provide 85°F bottom heat, and bright light, and keep moist at all times. Seeds will germinate in 7 - 21 days. Transplant seedlings into pots and grow until there are 6 true leaves on the plant. Plant them directly into rich soil, 30” apart, or large 5-gallon containers—Harvest peppers when they are red.

Fast Delivery, and great variety

I was very surprised to find all of the different seeds I needed in stock, and I received my order extremely quickly. Seeds are currently germinating, and I look forward to the results next fall!

Perfect for pickling

These were abundant and perfect for pickling. I also grew your sweet versions of these cherry peppers and put them both into the jars for a bit of pepper roulette.

Excellent flavor and productive

Zone: 6b
Germination rate: >90%
Very productive and was healthy despite inconsistent watering compared to other hot pepper varieties I also grew (serrano, jalapeno, hatch, bishop's crown) as I didn't have irrigation set up until half way through the summer. I will likely position a bean/squash trellis nearby next year so the peppers have afternoon shade.
I was looking for a pepper that was mildly hot with good flavor complexity for drying and making into rubs, taco seasoning, etc. and am very happy with this!

Great seeds!

I cannot say enough good things about this seed company. We grew these in our community garden and they were awesome. Robust, hardy and easy to grow. Loved pickling them. Fun variety and loved the unique shape!
