I am always looking for new varieties to grow in my garden. There are a few pepper varieties don't appreciate the climate here in Albuquerque, New Mexico, so I am always experimenting with micro-climates to learn more about them. I grew up in Phoenix, Arizona and graduated from Arizona State University with a Master's in Horticulture and wrote my thesis on seed germination. Vegetable gardening in the Phoenix desert was always a challenge for me. So, growing veggies here in the high desert of New Mexico is a pleasure. It's not always easy, and I've learned a lot about water harvesting and composting along the way. Making and eating my own homemade salsa from my garden is one of my favorite things to do.
